Native Women’s Association of Canada
NWAC is committed to helping First Nations, Inuit, and Métis women, girls, and gender-diverse people with the support they need. Our team of in-house Elders are here to support you during this time, offering support and building resiliency. You can call them toll free Monday–Friday, from 9–11 a.m. EST and 1–3 p.m. EST. National Aboriginal Circle Against Family Violence: Find a Shelter

The Knowledge Center on Gender-Based Violence
Languages: English & French. The Government of Canada has compiled a list of national, and provincial and territorial support services for people experiencing or impacted by gender-based violence.
The Canada Child Benefit (CCB)
A tax-free monthly payment made to eligible families to help with the cost of raising children under 18 years of age. If you are not already receiving this benefit, find out who is eligible and how to apply here.

AIDS Coalition of NS
AIDS Coalition of NS strives to create an environment in which people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS feel empowered and supported. Their aim is to end stigma and discrimination, and reduce new cases of HIV.

First Love Yourself (FLY902)
Transgender peer support for adults in Nova Scotia. They have regular peer support meetings as well as other events for trans and gender questioning people.
